About N64 VR
N64 VR is an experimental Nintendo 64 emulator built with JavaScript and WebXR, allowing you to play N64 games in virtual reality through your web browser.
How to Use
- Visit the web-based emulator at emukit.exokit.org
- Connect your VR headset and ensure WebXR is enabled
- Drag and drop your N64 ROM file into the browser
- Use VR controllers mapped to N64 controls
Technical Notes
The emulator uses WebAssembly for ROM emulation and WebXR for VR rendering. It converts the N64's native 3D rendering into true VR space, maintaining proper depth and scale. For best performance, use a WebXR-compatible browser like Chrome or Exokit.
Creator
Developed by Avaer Kazmer as an experimental project exploring the possibilities of WebXR and browser-based VR emulation. The project is part of the Exokit platform and is available as open-source software.
